Acts 3:19 NASB "Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;"I had to remember that there were two parts to it! Today's verse is about repentance and how we must repent and return! While working with an epoxy glue, I had to make sure that I had equal amounts of both products in order for the epoxy to work correctly. As I began to stir the two parts together, I couldn't help but think how repentance has two parts as well. We all know about the repenting but we sometimes forget about returning to a life of glorifying God. The first batch of epoxy didn't come out right so I had to go back and be careful as I mixed the right amounts of each part - just like repenting needs both parts, the "I'm sorry for my sin" and "I am turning back to God" - it's the glue that keeps us all together with Him! peace, tom
