John 15:13 NASB "Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends."They were willing! Today's verse speaks of love and a willingness to die for someone else! I was too young to really understand what was taking place. What I do remember is that my family and extended family had gathered to celebrate my uncle who had returned from his time at war. I didn't understand what they were fighting about, all I knew is that my Uncle had returned and the family was excited to celebrate his return. He went willingly to battle, he was willing to give his life for our country and just like thousands of others, willing to lay down their life, we celebrate them today. Find a veteran today and simply say "welcome home and thank you for your service!" Go a step further and invite them for coffee or dinner and show the appreciation for what they were willing to sacrifice!
